Catch The Beat from Market Street on an occasional basis
Catch the Beat from Market Street will offer weekly commentary about important issues in CU, from city, county and state agendas to what's going on in the schools, at Parkland, and the University. We'll pay attention to the challenges of climate change, crime, homelessness and food insecurity. And on the lighter side, music, theatre, and the arts. Come Catch the Beat on Wednesdays at 5:30.
Disability Beat - Monday 5:00 to 5:30pm.
Disability Beat was broadcast during a 12 year WEFT run ending in April 2017!! Now after a 15 month hiatus the show again returns to the Monday schedule. Disability Beat is about and for people with all types of disabilities with a slant toward social justice, community supports, inclusion, accessibility, freedom and choice.
Higher Ground - Saturday 8:00 to 10:00 am
Higher Ground focuses on local affairs and on personal improvement that leads to community development. This public affairs show discusses issues that primarily affect the African-American community, however, the larger social fabric of America is also strategically interwoven into the dialogue.
News From Neptune - Saturday 10:00 to 11:00 am
News from Neptune is an hour of discussion of the news of the week and its coverage by the media.
Radio Free Labor - Saturday 11:00 am to 1:00 pm
The show will discuss and debate current events, historical topics and political, economic, social and cultural aspects of working people across the world.
WEFT Weekender Interviews - Friday 8:30 am.
Friday's Morning Menu show, WEFT Weekender 6:00 to 9:00 am, is hosted by Vicki & Mark Niswander. Each week at about 8:30 they interview local musicians, artists, representatives of local organizations and performance venues.
Where We Are At - Monday 6:00 to 7:00 pm
Hosted by Ben Theobald. Ben's show will focus on news, current events, local, state and national politics, and human interest stories.
