Big Al's Community Chat - was 2nd & 4th Wednesday from 8:00 to 9:00 pm - The show ended its run on WEFT in March of 2017
Big Al's Community Chat is a public affairs show that hopes to enlighten and educate WEFT listeners to the duties and responsibility's of elected and appointed officials. In future shows it will bring exciting guests in many different areas of politics, business, sports, agriculture etc. Host: Al Kurtz
CU Progressive News - Saturday 11:00am to 12:00pm
CU Progressive News brings you the voices of your community through local and regional news, interviews, and commentary provided by community volunteers.
Disability Beat - was on Monday's from 5:30 to 6:00 pm - This show ended production on 10 April 2017 after nearly 12 years on WEFT.
Disability Beat is about and for people with all types of disabilities with a slant toward social justice, community supports, inclusion, accessibility, freedom and choice.
Higher Ground - Saturday 8:00 to 10:00 am
Higher Ground focuses on local affairs and on personal improvement that leads to community development. This public affairs show discusses issues that primarily affect the African-American community, however, the larger social fabric of America is also strategically interwoven into the dialogue.
In The Know - Monday 6:00 to 7:00 pm
In The Know will feature information on local resources (possibly mental health related, parent/children/school resources, topical social issues, etc.) for Champaign-Urbana and the surrounding community. Most weeks, the host, Sheri Williamson, will have local guests in studio to discuss resources/topics.
News From Neptune - Saturday 10:00 to 11:00 am
News from Neptune is an hour of discussion of the news of the week and its coverage by the media.
Prairie Monk - Sunday 11:00 am to noon
The show features notes and anecdotes on natural history, your local physical and cultural landscape, far-away places, folk resources, and resource folks.
